Goalkeepers & Defenders

Goalkeepers

Richard Borrill – Good solid keeper. Rarely makes mistakes. Very vocal on the pitch, and the butt of most jokes off it. Most jokes revolve around his bright pink nipples, tiny hands, silly tash / goatee combo and the fact he can't eat a korma without getting the sh*ts for a fortnight.

Ian (Hudi or Vander) Huddlestone - 6'7" keeper pushing Richard all the way for the number 1 shirt. Very agile and confident. Has so far punched 2 players in training instead of the ball from crosses.

Defenders

Chris “Ardo” Hardisty – Broke into the team midway through last season at right back, and kept his place with some great performances. Always gives 100%. Last seasons "fans player of the season".

James “Gall” Gallagher – Quick and skilful left back. Scored some cracking goals too. His heading and tackling have come on throughout the season, and he’s turning into a very good full back. Last seasons joint "managers player of the season".

Mark Dannatt – Cracking centre half, quick, skillfull and strong in the challange. Has an amazing line in party tricks. Last season joint "managers player of the season".

Ben Ellison – The big centre half organizes the back four well. Good in the air and strong on the ball.Would tackle a brick wall if there was a ball behind it. Scored 9 last season, and was voted "players player of the season". Has been named club captain for this season.

Paul (Grus) Gruska – Goooooo Team. Quality player. Missed most of last season due to work, but is back for the duration this year. Looks comfortable at right back or centre half.

Martin Hamer - Big solid defender or midfielder hard to knock off the ball. Can run all day, box to box. Plays like Carlton Palmer, but without the grace. A great story teller as well.

Eddie Herbert - Has one of the best shots in the squad. Can play anywhere on the pitch so long as its left back or left wing. Gets injured a lot.

Nick Jennings - Very determined player. Very strong in the challange. Can play anywhere.
