The Beginning.

The Mail Coach Football Club was formed by Glynn Sterland & Alan Dannett in May 2005.

In the 2004/05 season Alan Dannett was forced into taking over as manager of Doublesure Windows F.C. when Doublesure owner lost interest in the team.

After a testing season in Division 6, with no support from a pub or Doublsure Windows, it was decided that a new home and identity was needed for the team. Up stepped Glynn Sterland (former Doublesure manager). Who proposed to take the team to The Mail Coach. After long deliberation by manager and players alike, The Mail Coach became the teams new home.

With a well worked professional finincial outlook The Mail Coach F.C. are a Sunday League club who actually make money, and keep themselves self contained. With money been made through raffles, race nights etc. and the usual football cards been passed around the busy Sunday lunch time tap room.

The Mail Coach found the 2005/06 a little hard going. A low mid table position was below expections and left both managment and players very disapointed.

The performances and effort was there, but the final out come was always beyond our reach.

The bulk of the 2005/06 was made up of former Doublesure players, with only a small amount of new players coming through. Hopefully more players will be added for the 2006/07 season, and we can achieve our goal of promotion.
